This large open air space in the heart of the Entertainment Quarter provides an adaptable centre stage environment for special events and seasonal activities such as a circus, markets, ice skating, acoustic music performances, community and sporting events, marquee functions, corporate training days, barbeques and picnics.
The Showring, site of the fabled Royal Easter Show parade, offers an extensive open air space suitable for hosting the largest of events.
The Showring can also be linked with the Hordern Pavilion, Royal Hall of Industries, The HiFi, the Byron Kennedy Hall and Hoyts to provide site-wide entertainment events. The showring is 8,000 square metres in size. This historic area is capable of hosting 7000 guests for a cocktail function and can accommodate up to 15,000 people for a festival.
