Melbourne Festival 2013 announces first program item
It's just ending, but Melbourne Festival has already announced the first item for the 2013 program, showing a decided level of gung-ho, and cleverly keeping themselves on our annual festival radar.
The event unveiled, 6000 Miles Away, is a world class performance by premier dancer, Sylvie Guillem, three world-renowned contemporary choreographers - Mats Ek, William Forsythe and Jirí Kylián. It is also included in the program for Adelaide Festival.
Tickets don't start to go on sale until February next year, but if you hit up the Melbourne Festival website, you can register your interest in keeping abreast of updates.
