Sydney artists to take on Beck's sheet music album, Song Reader

Fans of indie rock icon Beck have something else to look forward to after his current run of Harvest Festival sets draw to a close.

In what's set to be an Australian (if not world) first, an esteemed lineup of Sydney musicians will perform Beck's latest (and most unusually presented) album, Song Reader, after its release in December - not as a record - but as book of sheet music.

Josh Pyke, Jonathan Boulet, Dappled Cities, Caitlin Park, Richard In Your Mind, Aidan Roberts (of Belles Will Ring), Thomas Rawle (of Papa vs Pretty), Brian Campeau and Elana Stone have donated their time and talent to interpret the music on the night - with all proceeds heading to local non-profit youth writing centre, Sydney Story Factory.

Celebrating both music and writing, the evening’s entertainment will also feature exclusive new work from local wordsmiths and performing artists, with the full lineup of performances, readings and DJs to be announced soon.
