Pink announces her 2013 The Truth About Love tour of Australia
Pink, also known as P!nk, Alicia Beth Moore, pioneer of the pink mohawk, and lately, actor, is coming up (actually down) to Australia to get the party started in 2013 with her The Truth About Love Tour.
The songstress has tried to provide for her many Australian fans, with Perth shows on 25 and 26 June, Adelaide performances starting on 1 and 2 July, three dates at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on 7, 8 and 10 July, two in Brisbane on 19 and 20 July, and a further three at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on 30 and 31 July and 2 August.
To celebrate her return, Pink is staging an impromptu exclusive performance with Live at The Forum in Melbourne, this Thursday 4 October. To get your mits on one of these golden tickets, you must register for and enter the secret ballot here, which closes promptly at 9pm this evening.
The last time Pink was in town in 2009 with her show, Funhouse, for an intended 20 shows, she ended up hanging out Down Under for three months, playing a staggering 58 date sold out concert run to over 670,000 fans around the country and breaking Australian box office attendance records.
I’m going to take this moment to point out that a) tickets to these shows are gonna go like hotcakes, b) only 12 dates (13 including the secret show) have been announced for this tour and c) Pink has started a little family since she was last here, so watch this space very closely and don’t hesitate to snap up your seat to a show.
American Express Cardmembers have the opportunity to purchase tickets first during an exclusive pre-sale beginning midday Tuesday 9 October, and the rest of you can get buyin’ from 9am Wednesday 17 October.
