The Kona Odyssey Mountain Bike Marathon race starts in Apollo Bay and finishes in Forrest. three race options for competitors; 100 kilometres, 50 kilometres or 15 kilometres with races covering the famous Forrest MTB Trails. The 50 kilometre and 15 kilometre events start and finish in Forrest.

Rapid Ascent is one of Australia's leading adventure event management companies that conduct a variety of events including adventure races, MTB events, fun runs and cycling events across six states. The company conducts the largest adventure race in the Southern Hemisphere and has been a finalist in the 2009 Australin Events Awards.
