The HBF Rottnest Channel Swim is a 19.7 kilometre swim from Cottesloe Beach to Thomson Bay, Rottnest Island in Western Australia. Participants can compete in teams of two or four, or for the extremely dedicated, tackle the crossing solo.
The event has grown in popularity to become the world's largest open water swimming event and is now a much-loved West Australian icon, capturing the imagination of the public and ocean swimmers alike.
Registrations have now closed for the 2013 HBF Rottnest Channel Swim, but head down to Cottesloe Beach or Rottnest Island to support the 2,300 swimmers on the day!
