Want to get spooked and explore Melbourne's dark past these school holidays?
The Old Melbourne Gaol offers lots of different programs. The Watch House Experience runs every 30 minutes in the former City Watch House and there are four courtroom trials a day in the Old Magistrates' Court.
On Saturdays and Wednesdays there are two performances a day of 'Such a Life in the Old Melbourne Gaol' where the story of Ned Kelly is told through the eyes of his mother, Ellen.
Visitors can self-guide through the gaol where they may hear a spot story from one of our guides.
On most days there are two sessions of 'Scary and Weird Stories' which are designed for primary-aged children - although parents seem to enjoy them too!
