The VicSuper Murray Marathon is a five day, 404 kilometre flat water paddling event on the mighty Murray River.
The VicSuper Murray Marathon is an annual event with over 40 years of history. The event is much loved and anticipated each year in the paddling community.
Starting on December 26 in Yarrawonga, the VicSuper Murray Marathon travels through Tocumwal, Picnic Point, Echuca, Torrumbarry and Murrambit before finishing in Swan Hill on New Year's Eve.
There are race options to suit varying paddling abilities, like the full 404 kilometre distance for the die-hard participants, the half marathon (202 kilometres), and the single day event (63 kilometres) for beginners.
Options for team and relay events are also available and children as young as 13 can participate, making the VicSuper Murray Marathon an ideal event to get family or friends involved.
The VicSuper Murray Marathon has a great family friendly atmosphere and is an opportunity to check out the regional towns and country side in the Murray River region. All of the funds raised from the VicSuper Murray Marathon are dispersed back into the Murray River region, supporting the sustainability of the region through social, environmental, and economical initiatives.
