The Perth Wildcats are an Australian professional basketball team competing in the National Basketball League (NBL). The Wildcats are the only team in the league representing the state of Western Australia and are based in the state capital, Perth. They are the most successful team in the league, having achieved five national championships.
Since 1987 the Perth Wildcats have appeared in record 26 consecutive NBL finals, including the 1987, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1995, 1999-2000, 2002-2003 and 2009-2010 Grand Finals, an accomplishment matched by no other NBL club. The Wildcats won the NBL Championship in 1990, 1991, 1995, 1999-2000 and 2009-2010.
