Comedy Shack: Jackie Loeb

We have a world touring Aussie comic Jackie Loeb who is based in the USA now but hails from Sydney.

Jackie Loeb has worked extensively as a stand - up comedian, actor, vocalist, musician, voice over artist and writer. Since 1992, Jackie has delighted audiences with her highly original brand of comedy across Australia and internationally. 2012 has already been a huge year for Jackie - with a nomination for ‘Best Comedy Show’ at the Hollywood Fringe Festival and The MO Award for ‘Excellence in Live Performance’ under her belt, Jackie has been busy with stand-up shows across Los Angeles and Australia and the development of a new web series.

Jackie has performed to miners, magistrates, doctors, lawyers, students, the sober, the inebriated, the medicated and the institutionalised. Men, women and children of all shapes and sizes have laughed at her and Jackie wouldn’t have it any other way.

Your host for the night is Shikar Thakur, Shikhar has found success quickly with his observational and questioning comedy. Steering away from the generic ‘accent’ humour he gets laughs from his comedic outcries at the ridiculous things of our modern day. With the occasional reference to his Indian heritage, he feels he is getting more neurotic each day which can only be a good thing for his comedy. He will be fresh back from travelling just a day on Australian soil im sure there will be stories to tell.
