The annual Banana Boat Bondi to Bronte Ocean Swim returns on 2nd December for the 12th year.
This incredible 2.2km journey swim starts from the iconic Bondi Beach, traveling south past Tamarama Beach and into beautiful Bronte Beach.
You can compete in your age group or in the wetsuits, flippers, floaties, families and friends group. The elite division attracts some of Australia's best ocean swimmers and we love to see all the teams of four involved and competing in the four combined age categories.
The event raises valuable funds for Bronte Surf Life Saving Club and also The Kids' Cancer Project raising money for research to cure childhood cancers. Any swimmer who raises $250 or more gets their entry fee of $40 refunded. In 2011 we raised over $31,000 and are aiming for $40,000 for the Kids' Cancer Project in 2012.
