Australian Graduates Fashion Week is set to storm the Sydney fashion stage in its debutant year.
Sydney’s newest fashion event is focused on up and comers of the fashion industry. Australian Graduates Fashion Week presents graduates of fashion schools, from TAFE, Universities, College and other institutions, giving them a platform to start their fashion dreams.
AGFW was sparked by a team of creative people who found the need to ensure that our fashion designers of the future had an arena to showcase to the fashion industry, media and the public.
100 students from TAFE, Uni and Colleges from around Australia and New Zealand will be chosen to showcase their designs for the chance to receive $10,000 to kick start their career along with other major prizes.
The goal is supporting the future of Australian fashion, presenting to the nation what they are capable of and taking it to the next stages of their career.
The spotlight will be on Sydney, on the incredible graduates and this open platform for fashion and design, for graduating students across Australia and New Zealand, who have graduated between 2011 and 2012 able to showcase.
Phoenix Keating, Paolo Sebastian, Nicola Finetti, Elvis Di Fazio & Peter Coulson [International Fashion Photographers] and Dimitri Frost [Editor of Cielo Magazine] will partake as judges, hosted by special guest Didier Cohen [Actor, TV personality, Model], presented by Krystle McGill [FashionOne] and Keiynan Lonsdale [MTV].
