Fresh from the critically acclaimed debut at the Melbourne Recital Centre, The Concourse presents “El Amor Brujo” a new chamber ballet by Ensemble Liaison and Jack Productions.
“Featuring some of Australia’s best dancers… astonishing in their versatility… an intimate and visceral experience…” - Steven Heathcote.
Ensemble Liaison and Jack Productions explore the intersection of chamber music and dance, creating a new ‘chamber ballet’. With no sets and no crowded stage – just four musicians and four dancers.
Collaborating with Jack Productions is a natural next step for Ensemble Liaison. Jack was founded by award winning choreographer, Lucas Jervies, and three senior dancers from the Australian Ballet, Robert Curran, Andrew Killian and Laura Tong. This new company is dedicated to producing dance that is genuinely innovative and explores the vast possibilities of classical ballet technique.
This exciting union of creative forces is for only one night at The Concourse and promises to bring a unique opportunity for lovers of ballet and chamber music to come and experience these two art forms united.
